We all know someone who will tell us that audio cables don't make a difference, or that tubes amps sound the same as solid state, and that spending "that kind of money" on your stereo system is a waste. When it comes to audio, disagreements are at every turn, but I can say with out a doubt, that you will be hard-pressed to find anyone who will tell you that dirty records sound good. Since the beginning of sound recordings, even the laziest listener with the cheapest of stereos has at least tried to blow the dust out of the grooves.
